WHEN IT HELPS, WHEN IT DOESN'T

It makes sense when:

  • Vehicle entry must be controlled, not free.
  • Parking or a yard needs limited access.
  • You combine the barrier with a card or remote.
  • You need a barrier for higher vehicle flow.

It doesn't when:

  • The entrance needs no control.
  • Flow is small and a gate opens manually.
  • There is no power at the barrier point.

FOUR STEPS

  1. Signal. A remote, card or sensor gives the signal.
  2. Raise. The motor raises the barrier.
  3. Passage. The vehicle passes; the barrier lowers after.
  4. Record. The passage is logged if linked to a system.

SYSTEM ELEMENTS

  • Barrier. The mechanical arm with a motor.
  • Drive. The motor for raising and lowering.
  • Control. Remotes, cards or sensors.
  • Safety loops. Vehicle detection under the barrier.
  • Access-control link. The barrier as part of the system.
