An intercom is not just a bell. It is the first window to your door — audio, video or IP, with door opening from your phone.
WHEN IT HELPS, WHEN IT DOESN'T
It makes sense when:
- You want to see who is ringing before you open.
- The building has several apartments or offices.
- You want to open the door remotely, from your phone.
- You combine the intercom with an entrance camera.
It doesn't when:
- The entrance has no room for an outdoor unit.
- You expect the intercom to replace surveillance. It shows the entrance, not the whole site.
- You want the cheapest option without checking the cabling.
FOUR STEPS
- Call. A visitor presses the button on the outdoor unit.
- Picture and sound. You see and hear who is at the door.
- Opening. You open the door from the indoor unit or phone.
- Record. Video intercoms can save a record of calls.
SYSTEM ELEMENTS
- Outdoor unit. A panel with a camera and buttons at the entrance.
- Indoor units. Monitors in the apartment or office.
- Lock. An electric lock opened by the intercom.
- Power. Stable system power.
- Network. For IP intercoms, network cabling.

WHAT THE TYPE MEANS

| IP | Runs over the network, phone viewing. |
| Analog | Classic cabling, no network. |

Can I open the door from my phone?
Yes, with an IP intercom. You open the door and see who is ringing, wherever you are.
Does the intercom work without internet?
Audio and video intercoms work locally. Phone viewing needs internet.
Can I keep my existing intercom?
It depends on the cabling and units. We inspect and tell you what works.
