WHEN IT HELPS, WHEN IT DOESN'T

It makes sense when:

  • The hotel has several rooms and shared areas.
  • You want a guest card valid only for their stay.
  • You need to limit staff access by zone.
  • You combine lift, parking and rooms on one card.

It doesn't when:

  • The property is small and keys are enough.
  • There is no clear split into zones.
  • You expect the system to replace the reception.

FOUR STEPS

  1. Issue. The reception issues a card to the guest.
  2. Rights. The card gets access to the room and agreed zones.
  3. Passage. The guest opens doors, lift and gates with the card.
  4. Expiry. On checkout the card stops working.

SYSTEM ELEMENTS

  • Room locks. Electronic locks on room doors.
  • Lift readers. The card calls the lift and limits floors.
  • Gate readers. Parking and outer entrances.
  • Reception software. Card issuing and rights.
  • Controllers. Door and zone management.
